Electric Operations Department OverviewThe men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers.
Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Position SummaryThe Contract Management, Supervisor will work in partnership with the other supervisors in the department, in addition to sourcing and the various lines of business of Electric Operations to plan, negotiate, write, and administer the contracting process.
Supervisors will also be responsible for delivering quality contracts with tangible earned value to PG&E internal customers, while maintaining the highest degree of safety for employees, coworkers, service providers and the general public.
Job ResponsibilitiesManages a 24x7 contracting program including after hour's contract deployments and manages Contract Field Specialist .
Coaches, develops, and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and the individual's development objectives.
Ensures team members are following department and company policies and procedures.
Contributes to group financial performance by monitoring budget and system performance, controlling costs, and reviewing and approving expenses.
Regular interactions with LOB's, Environmental, Land Department and Project Management organizations.
Present to audiences of internal customers, stake holders, PG&E Senior Leadership and Vendors.
QualificationsMinimum:
High School Diploma or GED.
Five (5) years of experience in utility construction (Transmission Line and or Substation Construction).
Three (3) to Five (5) years in Contract Management and or Service Procurement.
Advanced experience and ability with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desired:
BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Technical or related field, or comparable job experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the IBEW/ESC union agreements.
Demonstrated ability to work and interact with diverse groups of people (internal and external), ability to gather and assimilate information from large groups of people, and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with people.
Supervisory experience leading a team of individual contributors.
Demonstrated understanding of the Electric Operations business.
Understanding of PG&E Contractor Safety Program, ISNetworld and Gold Shovel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
