Plant Operator, Seasonal (Orland, CA)

General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The primary role of the Plant Operator is to assist in the production of aquaculture feed products, quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness in daily activities.
The roles of the Plant Operator vary based on experience and expertise.
This role may include operating equipment such as an extruder, grinder, mixer, pellet machine, or working in the warehouse.
These roles also include packaging, filling, assisting in the formulation, or housekeeping.
Candidates are well-driven self-starters that can work with a close-knit team to meet the customers demand efficiently.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience requiredWillingness to operate material handling equipment, including forklift and other equipment as requiredMust be able to lift 50 lbsManual dexterity must be able to be on your feet for long periods and must be able to work in a production environmentAble to follow written and verbal directions and complete necessary documentation.

Work production line according to production scheduled production jobInspect all materials for cleanliness and integrity.
Report any issues before processingDocumentation as required in all aspects of job dutiesLearn and train all roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, container loading, etc.
)Operate processing equipment as outlined in SOP'sMaintain facility cleanliness throughout all operationsPerform Quality Control while handling productsAccurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.
